For every PTM that matters, parents should also ask about their child’s ability to follow instructions, manage transitions, and interact during group tasks or free play. Exploring questions about friendships—such as, “Is my child able to form and maintain bonds easily?”—gives insight into temperament, introversion, or extroversion. Ending by asking about observed strengths, talents, or leadership qualities can encourage enrichment both at home and school.
